BOARD TO GO ON THE ROAD!
To make closer contact with cooperating associations around the
state, the CALPA board has decided to take its January and June
2004 board meetings on the road. Tentative plans call for the
January 2004 board meeting to be held at or near a state park
in Southern California and the June 2004 meeting to be held at
or near a park in the Sierra Nevada. Specifics will be announced
when final arrangements have been made.
NEW BYLAWS PROPOSED
After a year of work by the Bylaws Committee chaired by Ben Hughes,
the Board has approved a revised set of bylaws to be submitted
to the member associations. Copies will be mailed and emailed
to associations with directions to approve or disapprove the proposed
bylaws and return the ballot by July 31, 2003. The revisions were
necessary to bring the organization into compliance with current
laws and practices.
